Why I Had to Write This Book

I’ve lived both extremes.

A decade in the City of London managing the equivalent of £1 billion in emerging market investments—materially successful and spiritually running on empty.

Years later, living in Chamonix and then on the Devon coastline—soulfully rich and financially stretched.

Both worlds taught me what wealth really is... and what it isn’t.

Along the way, I earned a Master’s in Finance from London Business School, became a qualified investment professional, built businesses, developed property, raised investment, and experienced both significant success and real failure.

I’ve distilled decades of experience—both professional and personal—into this book, combining practical financial knowledge with the deeper lessons that transformed my own relationship with wealth.
